Welcome to Professor Ts. Dr. Imbarine Hj. Bujang and Dr. Dg. Ku Habibah Ag Kee as Ex-Officio Members of the Alumni UiTM Sabah Executive Committee

Recently, a meeting was held on 23 July 2025 between PAUS and UiTM Sabah leadership, during which it was formally confirmed that the holders of Deputy Rector of Student Affairs (HEA) and Deputy Rector of Administration (HEP) at UiTM Sabah will automatically serve as Ex-Officio members of the PAUS Executive Committee. This arrangement aims to strengthen collaboration and facilitate smoother communication between PAUS and UiTM Sabah’s administration.

The meeting also included preliminary discussions on several agenda items as follows:

1. Student Assistance & Engagement

Enhanced support programs will be developed to assist students in need, with an emphasis on encouraging more active and structured participation in campus activities. Students who receive assistance from PAUS are encouraged to contribute or participate in alumni programs as a way to give back.

2. Pidato Negeri Sabah (Sabah State Speech Contest) Revival

The revival of this speech contest aims to foster student leadership, improve oratory skills, and provide a platform for discussing current social issues relevant to Sabah.

3. Alumni Merchandise & Commercial Initiatives

Plans include expanding alumni merchandise offerings and securing a dedicated, rental-free space on campus for merchandise sales and related activities. These outlets will be accessible to alumni, students, and visitors, with opportunities for students to participate in managing and operating them, gaining valuable retail experience.

4. Campus Bean Café Enhancement

The Campus Bean Café will be further integrated into student activities, with upgrades to its ambiance and facilities to create a vibrant, welcoming space for students, staff, alumni, and visitors.

5. International Forum Proposal

UiTM Sabah, in collaboration with PAUS, has proposed organizing an international forum inviting overseas universities and speakers. The event aims to enhance academic collaborations, facilitate global knowledge exchange, and elevate the university’s regional and international profile.

6. Communication & Website Management

UiTM will co-assist with IT staffing to maintain and update the PAUS official website, improving communication and engagement with alumni. The website will also feature profiles of notable alumni to inspire current students and foster stronger alumni connections.

The discussions also laid the groundwork for various initiatives aimed at enhancing student engagement, leadership development, alumni involvement, and international collaboration. We look forward to working together to advance these exciting plans and foster a vibrant, connected alumni community.
