First Visitor to Alumni Office: Dewan Perniagaan Industry Sabah (DPIS) Explores Collaboration with Persatuan Alumni UiTM Sabah (PAUS)
Menara Wibawa – The Dewan Perniagaan Industry Sabah (DPIS) made its inaugural visit to the Alumni office today, aiming to forge a collaborative partnership with Persatuan Alumni Universiti Sabah (PAUS). The meeting focused on leveraging DPIS’s structured business portfolio to support local entrepreneurs and enhance educational opportunities for students at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UITM).
During the discussion, DPIS representatives showcased their impressive progress, despite being newly registered with the Registrar of Societies (ROS) in 2024. Their commitment to fostering entrepreneurship in Sabah has already led to remarkable milestones, demonstrating a clear vision for the future.
Dr. Vidu, Vice Rector of UITM Sabah, highlighted the potential of establishing a one-stop center to facilitate speaker engagements for UITM student programs. She further said “This initiative aims to provide students with valuable insights and networking opportunities in the industry”
Mat Salleh, treasurer of PAUS, expressed optimism about the collaboration, noting that DPIS’s strong connections could help identify sources of financial assistance and grants from other agencies. This partnership promises to create a supportive ecosystem for entrepreneurs and enhance the educational experience for UITM students.
The meeting also discussed possible conceptual test bed starting at UITM, providing a platform for innovative projects and potential initiatives that can benefit the local business landscape. Both organizations are enthusiastic about the possibilities this collaboration could bring and are committed to working together to empower the entrepreneurial spirit in Sabah.
