Persatuan Alumni UITM Sabah and Pertubuhan Dusun Islam Sabah Collaborate for Ramadan CSR Initiative
22nd March 2023 a meaningful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program was jointly organized by Persatuan Alumni UiTM Sabah and Pertubuhan Dusun Islam Sabah as part of their Program Ziarah Ramadan at Surau Kg. Randagong Baru, Ranau. This collaborative effort between the two organizations aimed to foster community engagement and provide support to those in need during the holy month of Ramadan, showcasing the power of unity in serving the local community.
The organizers contributed essential items, including a speaker system and a microphone, to enhance the facilities at the surau. These items will support religious activities and community gatherings.
During the program, PAUS and PDIS extended assistance to 25 asnaf and 30 children in the community. The contributions included financial aid and other necessities to ease their burdens during Ramadan.
The event featured a speech by the chairperson, Pn. Rosmini Simlin, a representative from Pertubuhan Dusun Islam Sabah. Her address highlighted the importance of community support and the spirit of giving during Ramadan
The event also attended by notable figures such as Datuk Dr. Hj. Abd Kadir Rosline (Chairman of Zecon Engineering Sabah Sdn Bhd) and En. Mat Salleh Hashim (Treasurer of PAUS).Their presence underscored the importance of alumni contributions toward community welfare.
Participants joined together for solat berjemaah including Maghrib, Isyak, and Tarawih prayers, fostering spiritual unity among attendees.
The event concluded with a communal iftar (breaking of fast) and dinner, symbolizing togetherness and shared blessings during Ramadan. This CSR effort reflects the commitment of both Persatuan Alumni UiTM Sabah and Pertubuhan Dusun Islam Sabah to giving back to society and supporting local communities through impactful initiatives.
