ALUMNI Updates: 22 – 23 February 2025
PROGRAM WACANA HARMONI: GLOBALLY REKNOWNED – BPJIMA & PAUS
We are excited to share highlights from the recent two-day program organized by Bahagian Penyelidikan, Jaringan Industri, Masyarakat dan Alumni (BPJIMA),UITM Sabah, where PAUS are invited for the first time to collaborate in a think tank session. This initiative aimed to streamline activities in preparation for 2025 called “Wacana Harmoni”. 21 participants attended the program, including 6 representatives from the PAUS.
Firstly, we would like to thank you to the Rector of UITM Sabah, Associate Prof. Dr Rozita @ Uji Mohammed for officiating the program and delivering the opening speech, setting a positive tone for the discussions.
During the program, the following speakers were featured to enrich the discussions:
- Encik Mohd Ridza Asrah: Presented on “The Art of Networking: Securing Grants and Funding Made Easy.”
- Encik Awang Amdan S M Darus: Discussed “Digital Efficiency. How AI Enhances Routine Office Operations”.
The objectives for the Wacana Harmoni: Globally Renowned program are as follows: - Performance Indicator Achievement: To boost achievement in all performance indicators outlined in the Strategic Planning for 2025.
- Integrated Strategic Initiatives: To plan and execute strategic initiatives cohesively, moving away from a silo mentality among departments.
- Enhanced Collaboration: To open more avenues for cooperation between BPJIMA and strategic partners, particularly the Alumni Association of UiTM Sabah.
- Joint Project Initiatives: To compile a list of joint projects planned together.
- MyRA Star Rating Performance Criteria Compliance: To ensure all projects meet the MyRA Star Rating criteria.
- Alumni Engagement: To increase accomplishments related to Performance Index, specifically the number of alumni expert service programs.
- Staff Commitment Appreciation: To recognize the high level of commitment shown by all BPJIMA & PAUS.
This program marked a significant step as both parties sat together, united in their goal to reduce redundancy and enhance engagement between students and alumni. By leveraging alumni resources and UITM’s strengths, we aim to bridge existing gaps and define strategic collaborations in research, community activities, and industry partnerships. Our collective goal is to elevate UITM’s global reputation.
