REUNION & REVIVAL: TMC CUP RETURNS TO CAMPUS GROUNDS AT “SUKAN BALIK KAMPUS” UITM SABAH 2025.
What a memorable sports event, reintegrating the prestigious TMC Cup and the Open Cup at Sukan Balik Kampus UiTM Sabah 2025, bringing together alumni, students, and the campus community in a celebration of sportsmanship, camaraderie, and tradition. This event promises to create lasting memories and strengthen the bonds that make our university spirit truly special.
This meeting seeks to unite UiTM Sabah alumni, the TMC Committee, and Unit Sukan UiTM Sabah to deliberate on the preparations for the upcoming Sukan Balik Kampus UITM Sabah 2025, which is tentatively planned for October 2025. The event will be held over weekends, specifically on Saturdays and Sundays, and will showcase two major competitions: the Open Cup and the TMC Cup, signaling the return of the TMC Cup to the campus after several years.
History of The Memorial Cup (TMC)
Founded in 2009, the TMC began as a football match between Manchester United and Liverpool fans, serving as a reunion platform for alumni from various batches and as a charitable event supported by the UiTM Sabah top management at the time. Over the years, the event grew to include bowling and golf tournaments, with proceeds and sponsorships channeled toward educational funds, community support, and disaster relief efforts involving alumni. The most recent TMC was held in 2019, before activities were paused due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
